Subscription boxes have been a thing for a while. If you follow any bloggers outside of Lebanon, you've definitely heard of names like Ipsy and Birchbox. I've watched many unboxings on Youtube and have read reviews on several blogs for such services, but I was always hesitant to try them out. I'm the sort of person who likes to read reviews of products before buying them, if possible I'll swatch the crap out of the sample at the store before I head to the cashier. This is of course when I don't let the "ouuuu what's this? it's so shiny" part of my brain take over, which usually leads me to random impulse purchases and a very unhappy wallet. Anyway, the point being that I wasn't too keen on the idea of paying for something that was a surprise. My friend Darine, who love subscription boxes, would tell me that it's like a gift for yourself at the end of every month. She would rave about being able to try out new products that she wouldn't even think about purchasing. It seemed like a cool idea, I just didn't think that it was for me...until I met Pretty Little Box.
I met up with the folks at Pretty Little Box and they were kind enough to give me their latest launch, which they were super excited about-rightfully so, the L'Occitane en Provence edition of the box. This is the first time that a whole Pretty Little Box is dedicated to a brand and filled with items from that same brand. I was honestly excited when they said that it's a special collaboration with L'Occitane en Provence because I'm a fan of the brand but I hadn't tried too many of their products. Pretty Little Box introduced me to new products that I can't wait to play around with, here's what's inside the gorgeous box this month:
-Creme Mains, Dry Skin Hand Cream with Shea Butter ($12): I already own this product and it lives in one of my favorite bags, I was excited to find this in the box because it's a very useful product to have on hand (no pun intended).
-Stick Levre, Ultra Rich Lip Balm ($8): You honestly can never have enough lipbalm in your life. I was running low on supplies, so the L'Occitane lipbalm arrived right on time. It goes on very smooth, it's not tacky at all, and it moisturizes your lips...just like it says on the packaging.
-Savon Extra-Doux "Lavande", Extra-Gentle Soap "Lavender"($7): This was the product I was least excited for, mainly because I don't think one can get THAT excited for a bar of soap. I'm more of a liquid soap and shower jellys kind of gal... but yay for lavender :P
-Néroli & Orchidée Collection de Grasse Fragrance from L'Occitane ($65): I wasn't even aware that L'Occitane had perfumes. This product alone makes the whole box worthwhile honestly. The scent is lovely, and I will definitely be spraying it on.
-Samples of the new Amande Milk Concentrate: I didn't get the chance to read up on this new launch by L'Occitane, but there's a handful of samples of it in the box. If you know me, then you're aware that I have a soft spot for samples.
-Voucher for 20% off a 100,000 LL purchase: not too shabby!
If you love trying out new beauty products then Pretty Little Box is a great way to discover new brands and products for just $25 a box that's filled with things that are worth wayyy more than $25!
