Back on Track #20to25Challenge

Since my last update, a couple of things happened in my life that really made me feel down. They hit me back to back, right where it hurts. I could feel myself heading in the direction of throwing all my progress away and submitting to the sadness. After a couple of days of feeling like utter poop, I forced myself to get back on track. I began to eat better and I began to hit the gym. I'm currently on a four day streak of going to the gym, I even managed to squeeze in a workout before work today! It's a bitch to wake up at 6:30 and even bitchier to get your ass out of bed at a time when you're used to pressing the snooze button, but once you do get up and actually workout, it's SO worth it! The trick is to have EVERYTHING ready the night before. What you're going to wear to the gym, your towel, breakfast, lunch, snack, water bottles, keys, glasses, playlist, earphones...literally, everything. I still feel like poop, but not as much as before. The gym is sort of becoming like therapy, and I have absolutely no problem with that. I've been stalking Instagram and Pinterest for workout routines that could be interesting and effective, but I still haven't found anything that I've really liked, so if you have any suggestions please do share!

What an accurate statement! I spotted this water bottle on Laura's Snapchat and instantly shared it on Instagram. I need it in my life!

Goals for the week:
-Workout 5 times (2 down, 3 to go)
-Feel less poopy

  1. Keep on keeping on. You've already shown tremendous progress, and the fact that you've picked yourself back up speaks volumes. I believe in you!

  2. Good luck with your challenge! You can do it- this is but a small setback that I'm sure you will overcome.

    Have you tried the Nike Training Club app? They recently re-vamped it and now includes programs that you can do for a specified duration or just separate workouts (you pick and choose). The best part is that they guide you step by step through the app.

      I had it on my phone for a while but never got around to using it, maybe I should download it again. I've been seeing a lot of people on Instagram talk about it, it could be worth a short. ^_^

  3. You can do it, Aline! I've been enjoying these posts, and I think you're doing a great job.

    I'm sorry you've been feeling a little down this week. There are always ups and downs, but I'm glad you feel that the gym is helping you blow off some steam.

    Are you interested in exercise classes at all? If you're into dance-style classes, Zumba seems really fun, or maybe Pilates, aerobics, or yoga just once a week?

    1. Thank you Tatiana! I've tried Zumba, it's fun but I don't really like exercise classes. I enjoy solo workouts more, but maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to a class once a week...
