Just because the weather is cold doesn't mean your summer dresses should be tucked away in the back of your closet. One of my favorite things to do in winter is to "winterify" my favorite summer dresses, especially the ones that are more on the short side. My formula to winterify a summer dress is pretty simple, it consists of adding opaque black tights (which you should know by know that I'm obsessed with!), a cardigan or sweater on top of the dress, and a pair of black boots. This way you get to multiply your winter outfit choices without having to buy extra winter specific items, just rearrange what's already in your closet, and add some layers to stay warm! Today's outfit is a little too "50 Shades of Grey", but I really really really wanted to take this dress out for a spin. It has been hiding in my closet since I bought it a couple of months ago, but I rediscovered it recently during one of my "I have nothing to wear" episodes. Grey-scale aside, I thought the whole look was pretty decent and super comfy.
