The MAXI Factor

Dress: Nordstrom Rack // Blazer: Max // Sandals: Lynne's // Handbag: Zara "Mini Office" // Necklace: Miss Selfridges// Sunglasses: Karen Walker// Nails: Dali "Something Blue

A couple of weeks ago, I attended the #IROBeirut event in Down Town with ma fellow fashun bloggas, and I had a blast. After the event was over, Maya, Maria (from Notre Closet) and I took a stroll around down town and had a mini photo-shoot.

I bought this maxi dress last summer while I was in LA and wore it to death (well, almost), but when I came back to Beirut I just wasn't feeling the maxi vibe anymore so I completely forgot about it. After going through my summer clothes, I had a bit of a rediscovery moment and decided to wear it to the #IROBeirut event. It's SO comfy, and makes my boobs look good (I think? Am I shallow to say that out loud? I think every girl should have that one item of clothing that makes the ladies look good.. ya know what I'm saying? Ok, I'll stop talking now. I sound like a creep. Moving on ladies and gentlemen). With my body shape, it was pretty hard to find a maxi dress that looked good and that I was comfortable in. If you're on the curvy/butty/booby side, I think it's best to look for something that's not all the same pattern. Maybe something that has a cinched in waist, with two patterns that break the whole piece up. Anyway, that's just my opinion. To each their own. This dress just confirms the arrival of summer to me, and I think we can all agree that we like summer? Yes? Minus the frizzy hair and sweatiness that is...

Don't fall!

Put your hands in the air!

Will you be rocking maxis this summer?

Ps. A huge thank you to Maya from Playing With Fashion for taking the awesome-sauce photos in her special spot. I wish I could clone her so that she could take all my outfit shots! Thank you Mayaz
