Haul: The Body Shop

I've been obsessed with the Body Shop this month, there's two people to blame for my obsession. First there's my friend Alex who got me a set for my birthday two years back, that's when I started to fall in love with the store. Second, there's my friend Hera who introduced me to the "Japanese Cherry Blossom" scent. Add to that the fact that they have really awesome products and good deals, and voila you have an Aline who visits a Body Shop store at least twice a week. I've picked up quiet a few products these two weeks. I usually used to just get body butters and shampoos, but I decided to pick up face products and items from the makeup line. If you're in Lebanon, they currently have a 50% off sale going on (not sure if the same sale is happening all over) and I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out. The sales ladies at the store are super nice and helpful, which is sort of a first for Lebanese sales people who are usually annoying, clueless and rude.

With further ado, here's what I got! :)

Everybody, meet everything.
Everything, meet everybody.

Tea Tree mania:
Tea Tree foam wash
Tea tree oil, spot treatment
Tea tree concealer.
I went a little tea tree crazy for the face purrrtyy-fying products. I've just been reading so much good things about "tea tree" and how it's the best thing ever since sliced bread, I just had to try it out. I originally was going to get just the oil, but the lady told me that they have a buy two get one free deal with some of the skin care products, so I chose the wash as my item number two and got the concealer for free. I've been using all the products for a week now, and I have to say I'm enjoying using them. The smell of tea tree is a bit overwhelming, but you get used to it after the second use. The oil is a spot treatment for blemishes, I tried it out on a couple of spots and it works best for the ones that you feel are going to be saying hello to the world (you know the ones that I'm talking about), the tea tree slaps them in the face and doesn't let them come out. (muahaha). The foam wash thingy bingy makes my face feel super clean, and I've been using it almost everyday. My favorite of the tea tree mania is the concealer. The coverage is amazing! It is literally like a photo shop tool, you put it on and BAYUM blemish is gone. My only complaint is that it doesn't last as long as I'd like it too, and powdering it is a must!

Foundation "01"
Eyeshadow duo "08"
As much as I like to try out new foundations, I usually stick to a couple of brands *coughRIMMELcough* and use only liquid foundations. My friend Doaa (who is the one who informed me about the sale) bought the foundation and she was talking about how amazing it was, so I decided to give it a shot. I got the lightest shade (01), because only two shades were left and the other shade (05) was a little too orange looking. The coverage, like the tea tree concealer, is AMAZING. You actually don't even need concealer, unless it's a super bitchy and stubborn blemish. The lasting power though is my favorite, it.lasts.ALL.day. When I say all day, I mean all day. The first time I used it, I put it on at 9:45 am and didn't use any concealer, I looked in the mirror at 5:10 pm everything was still in place, checked again at 7:30pm... still there. For someone who doesn't really have a good relationship with foundations that last, I'm super happy that I found one that does last and doesn't look cakey! :)

I picked up the eyeshadow because i wanted to do a purple smokey eye for a night out. The pigmentation is pretty decent, but the lasting power is not that great. It ended up fading pretty quickly, but in the eyeshadow's defense I was dancing and got a bit really sweaty... Lovely colors though :)

"Japanese Cherry Blossom" body butter & perfume spray
"Wild Cherry" body butter.
I've mentioned how much I love Body shop body butters before right? No? Well I LURVE them! I got the cherry blossom one because my friend Hera has made me obsessed with that scent. I also picked up the "Wild Cherry" one because the sales lady made me smell it and I fell in love. I think I might have a thing for cherries... hmm

What are you favorite Body Shop products??

  1. I love the body shop and get emails from them almost everyday as we're getting closer to the holidays. My favorite product is the body butter, my favorite scent is in mango.

  2. I haven't shopped at Body Shop in years. I really must visit it again the next time I am at the mall. All of your products look amazing.
