Since it is Pinktober, a.k.a. Breast Cancer awareness month, I decided to paint my nails pink. I've been sporting these nails for most of the month, but I just got around to taking proper pictures. Obviously by painting my nails pink or by changing my phone's theme to pink I have not cured cancer, but the point is for me to do my part (as minimal as it seems) in raising awareness about this disease and reminding my fellow females to go out and get a mammogram! I recently read a post by fellow Lebanese blogger Elie about the topic, his mom got tested and found out she had early stages of breast cancer. I had goosebumps and made my mom call her doctor for an appointment the second I was done reading. If you love your moms, sisters, cousins, yourself, friends or any other woman in your life, PLEASE go out and get tested. Pretty please, as my awesome reader I really don't want you to get sick...and if you do, I want it to be treated as early as possible so that you can get better and keep reading my random posts on shoes and nails :)
On to the nails:
As a base, I used Nubar's "Red Coral", then went over it with a coat of pink from Samoa's "Never Nude" collection to give it a more pink affect, and decided to jazz things up with a coat of glitter with Savina's "Flash", finally went over everything with my trusty Diamond Shield top coat.
Ps. I wish Elie's mom (and other women in the same situation) a speedy recovery!
