Pavoni Fashion Show at Whiskey Mist

Pavoni, meaning peacock in Italian, is a new luxury fashion house created by co-founders Mike Derderian and Gianni Falcone. They presented their spring/summer 2012 collection of beautiful and glittery evening wear on Thursday at the exclusive Whiskey Mist at the Intercontinental Phoenicia hotel.

The show began at 9:30 pm and there was a second show for the Whiskey Mist regulars at 11:30pm. Sadly though since I had class the following morning, I was only able to stay for the first presentation of the show. The interesting and unique location added a little  "je ne sais quoi" to the vibe of the show. I'd seen photos of celebrities in Pavoni before and it never crossed my mind that I'd be seeing the gowns and dresses live. The different textures used - whether lace, chiffon or feather - and the beaded details on every gown were just amazing! I don't even know how to describe it, so I'll stick to showing you the amazing photos of the show along with the official photos of the collection so you get a better idea.

Ps. The Nokia N9 competition has ended, the "Kate Moss" outfit featuring the Black N9 won. A winner will be picked from those who voted for the dress before Saturday Nov 19 9pm Beirut time. The winner will be picked by the end of next week.
I'll be keeping you posted, so don't forget to follow me on twitter and facebook !

Mr. Mike Derderian in the flesh! Although I wasn't able to meet him personally, I watched him get interviewed for some Lebanese TV station. He really seems like a cool guy.

  2. Wow, such beautiful dresses! :)

I love the purple chiffon one. Reminds me of the dress Natalie Portman wore to the Oscars.

Looks like it was an exciting event. :)

@Angie yes you're right, it does kinda remind me of the Rodarte dress, I hated the accessories of that look.
