New purchases: Marc Jacobs Sunnies and SHOES!

Yesterday, my mom and I went on a bit of a "pre-travelling" shopping spree (more on the trip later). I needed new black flats, sandals and sunglasses.

You have no idea how hard it was to find the first thing on my list, it's like all ballerine flats have been removed from the market! I get that it's sandals season, but flats are great for summer too!!
There were a few here and there, but they were leftovers from the fall season.. only odd sizes were left (wee little 36's or too big for my feet 41's! No 39's in sight).
Yes, that is indeed an ELEPHANT behind my shoes. No, my feet are not THAT big :P
I FINALLY found a store which had a decent looking black flat, last pair, in my size. The shoe salesman was kinda cute too, but he was such a talker.. I get that your job is to be all "these are the best shoes ever and they look magnificent on you", but I have my own opinion on what I think looks good and I can make my own decisions thank you very much!

Since my shoe challenge saving is moving at a snail's pace, smarty-pants me thought that buying new shoes was a good idea. In her (smarty-pants me) defense though,  I did need new summer sandals... and these are pretty cute.

Last on the list was a pair of sunglasses (and new eyeglasses, more on that later too). I had my eye on a pair by Tom Ford, and I tried them on... but they didn't look as good as I thought they would. Then I saw this pair by Marc Jacobs, and I was smitten.

They're a more classic looking pair than what I would usually wear, but I thought it would be a better investment to get a more wearable pair rather than a crazy one that I might stop wearing in a few years...

What do you guys have planned for the weekend?
I have no idea what i'm doing tonight or this weekend, but I do know that it will involve some packing!
Hope you guys have a fun Friday :)
