Red Carpet: EmmyAwards- Navy

Lea Michelle in Oscar de la Renta
Lea Michelle looked STUNNING at the Emmys. I love love love the dress by Oscar de la Renta. The Jewelry matches the dress perfectly, the hair looks lovely and balances out with the dress to keep the look fresh and young. The Birthday girl worked it on the red carpet, and is a Best Dressed Nominee. She gets an A

I don't know why, but this dress reminded me of the demin suites that Britnery Spears and Justine Timberlake wore to a premiere back in the 90's. Thankfully, this dress isn't demin. It's not an uglly dress, but the ruffles are just wrong and make it look very ugly. I hate that little curtain thing on the hips, and that ruffle rop thing that goes around the boobies. On a positive note, I like the way it flows past the hips. The bar was set pretty high this year at the Emmys, so this dress doesn't make the cut.

What I really liked about this dress was that is was super appropriate for the event. I appreciate actors that wear the crazy big puffy dresses to award ceremonies such as the Emmys and Oscars. This dress was certainly Emmy appropriate, even Oscar appropriate. When saw Jane on tv in the dress, I thought it was gorgeous, but as i'm looking at the picture now I'm not a big fan of that puffy thing on the side, and the fit could have been better.  But still, a lovely gown.

Connie Britton in Burberry
Connie Britton is one of my favorite TV actresses, I absolutely LOVE her on Friday Night Lights. She doesn't get out much, and is usually a rare sight on the red carpet. So it was definetly a treat to see her at the Emmy's in a glittery dress. Forgive me on the quality of the pic, I coudln't get a better one. I really liked this dress, I like the navy glitteryness of the dress. The shape is a little boring, but it looks amazing on her. Connie gets a B+

Jayma Mays in Burberry prorsum
I'm glad Jayma wore navy because I love the contrast with her skin colour and hair colour. The fit of the dress is great, but I'm not a fan of the vertical puffy lines that flow down into a puffy bottom. Maybe it's the combination of the pose and picture, but it's just not working for me :P
I really liked the gold jewelry with the dress, but I would have liked it beter if the necklace was positioned slightly lower...just a it doens't look like it's choking her.
