Animal World

To celebrate its 150th birthday, Chopard has designed a collection of 150 unique animal-inspired pieces - its largest and most diverse collection devoted to a single theme - including these white and black diamond stork earrings, which show the storks delivering bundles made from a briolette-cut kunzite. The pieces required 20,000 hours of work and involved setting 250,000 stones. "I really wanted to make them like sculptures," Chopard co-president and artistic director Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele told WWD of the pieces. "If people want to buy one, they will have to reserve it and get it at the end of November." Worth waiting for, we say. -Vogue UK

Hello my monkies and Happy Mother's Day!!! When I saw this collection, I could not show you guys. Being an animal inspired jewelry lover, I adored this collection. I'm usually not one to like the sparkly diamonds and all that jazz, but I would not say no to owning a couple of pieces from the collection (fish necklace, monkey necklace and frog ring). Although the one with the strok, I don't like birds in the first place but then it goes and reminds me too much of the stork in Dumbo the movie (which I could never watch when I was little because it was depressing.) Anyhoo back to the post, birds aside, I love. What do you think?
